GeForce GTX 660 here. Should i get all the new Game Ready Drivers?
Hey guys, i usually try to keep my system/software up to date with patches and updates but i have a problem with the regular Game Ready Driver updates.
Everytime GeForce Expirience tells me there is a new driver, basically all its discription says its a new driver opimized for the best experience for Batman, Killing Floor 2, GTA, MGS, -insert brand new AAA title here-.
Here is two things which bother me about that:

dont play the new AAA games (at least not atm or the near future)
I belong to the PC Masterrace since over 20 years and i am alot into 'never change a running system' especially when it comes to graphic drivers! Even though there dont seem to be as much problem in the past years as lets say...5 years ago. I am just not a fan of keeping something updated just to keep it updated without having any benefit from it!

TL;DR Will my 'old' GTX 660 benefit from keepping it's drivers up-to-date all the time for 2-5 year old games or is it enough to update every half year just to get Gefore Experience or Shadowplays software updated?

NVIDIA rolled out a new version of its GeForce Graphics driver, namely 416.34, which is the Game Ready driver that should provide an optimal experience while playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, SOULCALIBUR VI, and GRIP titles.
In addition to that, this update also removes the black screen issues seen on game launch (when DSR is enabled), fixes the red/green/blue shimmering lines experienced with G-SYNC enabled, and implements several enhancements as highlighted in the Release Notes below.
When it comes to compatibility, version 416.34 is only suitable for both desktop and notebook configurations running under 64-bit architectures of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10 operating systems.
